Wedding Flowers (continued!)
– how to choose the perfect bridal bouquet part two
We discussed the first couple of factors in choosing your bridal bouquet in an earlier blog post Part 1, but now let’s dig a little deeper….
Just what are you going to be wearing?
Most brides will agree that until you find your dress, it is all about the dress!
And then you can start thinking about the rest of what will probably be a very big day with some very complex organisation! So how do you tie that beautiful dress into the rest of your big day? Well of course I’m going to say with flowers!
A cascading bouquet of lilies and roses is the flower crown you don’t need to go with your traditional ballgown or empire waisted wedding gown. Meanwhile, a cute posy of wildflowers can be perfectly paired with a knee length frock or a flower crown, bare feet and a boho lace dress in the park.
Harking back to that previous post where we talked about theme, choosing the right bouquet. It all really starts with what you want to rock/ traipse/ glide down the aisle in!
So following on from what you’ll be wearing and how you’ll be pairing (rhyme intentional) that dress with what you carry, is size.
Sometimes you want a cute nosegay, or a dainty kissing ball so that your dress is the focal point and sometimes you want a classically beautiful bridal bouquet because, baby that brings out the colour in your eyes!
Decide whether you want your flowers to be a feature or focal point or just a really gorgeous accessory.
Like we always say: there is not right or wrong when you’re thinking wedding flowers.
Just what you want on your special day!
