Help from my studio fur babies
Morning all, this is some Golden Retriever & Husky love. Meeki the Siberian Husky was rescued from a puppy mill, where she was kept in a small cage and only allowed out to breed. She was bred 4 times in her two and half years.
This is in spite of the fact that a female dog is not supposed to be bred until she reaches two and is only supposed to be bred up to 4 times in her lifespan.
Since being rescued by myself (Beryl) and Alex the Golden Retriever, Meeki is slowly, and timidly, learning to love the world.
It’s been amazing to watch little Meeki come out of her shell and start to enjoy life. With a lot of help from her goofy brother Alex. She is finally becoming the puppy that she was born to be!
When I design I usually have some fur helpers in my studio. Sometimes they are a help and sometimes they are a hindrance but I love them anyway. They do create a welcome and a laugh during the day.
Meeki was a rescue puppy that has had a bit of a bad start to life but at 3 years of age she has found some security with the amazing 11 year old Alex. Together she is slowly becoming a lot less scared of the world. And yes I call my fur babies “puppies” for their whole life LOL.
Of course this is a little bit of self promotion about who I am and other than textile art, what & who excites me. But if you would want to help an animal in need, here a couple of links for you. It is very rewarding!
Cheers
