I was given a bunch of beautiful native flowers for my birthday last year and it got me thinking... We have such a rich and colourful native landscape that we do not seem to use nearly as much as we should. Beautiful bright wattles, bottle brushes and banksia trees, to name just a few.
So with this in mind...
This Australian bouquet is a combination of cream and red Real Touch roses and white, yellow and orange silk roses and of course, beautiful Aussie natives!
I think these would be beautiful for any Aussie getting married overseas!
BUT WHY STOP THERE?
I started to look around the studio and wonder where else I could incorporate beautiful Aussie natives?
So I've gotten pretty good at incorporating gum or Eucalyptus leaves with some of my artificial bouquets...
I'm even wondering about Aussie inspired buttonholes...
On my daily walks with my fur babies, I am in constant awe of our beautiful Aussie bush. I'm wondering what other Australian natives I can incorporate into my textile art?
I you have any thoughts, I'd love to hear from you!
